eModerating eTivities in a Blended Teaching Approach

The Centre for Learning Technology, Trinity College Dublin offers an online course to Academics on e-Moderating online activities as a means of integrating Technology Enhanced Learning into their teaching. This course is based on the research carried out in this field by Professor Gilly Salmon. Professor Salmon is Professor of E-learning & Learning Technologies at the University of Leicester in the UK. She has published two books in the field of online learning, e-Moderating and e-Tivities. The course we run at Trinity College Dublin, follows the ‘5 Stage Model’ outlined in Professor Salmons books. In this paper the author will outline the ‘5 Stage Model’, show how it was implemented in our online course and report on initial feedback now the course has been running for 12 months.
