About EdTech
The Irish Learning Technology Association’s annual conference has been running for over twenty years, critically examining the role of technology in education, and creating a network of researchers and practitioners all with a shared interest in technology enhanced learning.
Conference Theme
The 2018 Action plan for Education highlights the national priority to make the Irish education and training service the best in Europe by 2026. The plan encompasses a range of themes including: embracing digital technoloiges; engaging learners; leadership and professional development; skills capacity building; strategic capability; and digital transformation (p.42). EdTech 2019 will explore these themes and consider the practices, research areas and pedagogies that are required to enact this vision for 2026.
Who should attend?
The conference will provide a dynamic platform for policy-makers, researchers and practitioners to engage with national and international approaches to digital transformation across the third level sector; research led-technology innovations; and trends and challenges in pedagogies in a digital age.
