Beyond the Horizon: Policy, Practice and Possibilities

Recent European and national policy reports have identified the enabling and transformative role of technology in supporting learning over the medium term at individual, institutional and sectoral levels.

At EdTech2015 we invite participants to consider the efficacy of these policies; to explore how they can be operationalised in practice; and highlight the challenges, opportunities and possibilities for learning in an ever changing Irish and international landscape.

Conference Highlight: Launch of the Horizon Report for Higher Education in Ireland

Helping to inform this discussion will be the publication and official launch of the Horizon Report for Higher Education in Ireland EdTech2015 by New Media Consortium CEO Prof. Larry Johnson and Director of Special Projects Alex Freeman who will be conference keynotes.

This Report is a collaborative research initiative from the partnership consortium of ILTA, the National Institute for Digital Learning (NIDL) at DCU, and the New Media Consortium. Horizon Reports are are downloaded 5m times per year, and offer a significant international comparative analysis  contribution both to this theme, and to wider policy making.

We look forward to your participation at EdTech2015 as we look Beyond the Horizon: Policy, Practice and Possibilities at the University of Limerick from May 28-29 2015.
